Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWPs) are designed to be easy to use and offer a safe way to work at height, but with basic training you will use the equipment more effectively and safely. This course instructs an operator to prepare and safely operate various types of MEWPs including scissor lifts, boom lifts (3a & 3b) or trailer mounted or truck mounted platforms (1a & 1b).

Topics covered include the requirement of PPE including harness & lanyards where applicable, operation, inspection, record keeping, emergency procedures, an overview of Work at Height legislation and guidance.

Upon successful completion the delegate will be issued with a Powered Access Licence (PAL) photo ID card valid for 5 years.

IPAF training is delivered by our training partners Higher Safety, AFI Uplift and Kentec who are accredited IPAF Training Centres.
