Manual Handling Awareness Training Course |
Incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work. This course will give the delegate a good grounding in safe moving and handling techniques as well as an understanding of the risks associated with such activities.
The Manual Handling Regulations 1992 (amended 2002) require manual handling tasks to be risk assessed; manual handling training can form part of your control measures to reduce the or eliminate manual handling injuries and accidents.
Topics covered include good (and bad!) manual handling techniques, use of mechanical aids, anatomy of the spine, manual handling injuries including fractures, herniated disks, WRULDS, RSI and risk assessments.
Classroom based courses can be tailored to your specific work environment by our vastly experienced trainers.
